Q: How long do I commit to private lessons after signing the registration form?
A: All students commit to lessons for twelve weeks. Each twelve-week lesson period divides into two, six-week terms.
A: We offer 40-minute and 60-minute lessons weekly or bi-weekly.
Q: It states on the Home Page that you're "Chicago's only specialized guitar and drums music teacher network." Why is this significant?
A: There are a handful of other music teacher networks in Chicago, but our school focuses exclusively on connecting professional guitarists and percussionists with dedicated students. By concentrating on these instruments, we can showcase the depth of our expertise.
Q: How often should I take lessons during a 12-week period?
A: Well, that's really a matter of your time commitment. We encourage you choosing a program that best fits your schedule, as long as you reserve a reasonable amount of time for practicing on your instrument in-between lessons.
Q: Do you offer a one-time trial lesson?
A: Yes. You can schedule one, 30-minute trial lesson before choosing a commitment for twelve weeks. Time slots for trials are limited and scheduled to teacher availability.
Q: Do you offer gift certificates?
A: Yes. Gift Certificates are available for all lesson programs. Upon purchase, the Gallagher School will send you an e-certificate for your own personal print-out.
Q: Do you offer any discounts on lesson tuition?
A: Yes. We currently offer a 15% discount on tuition for students who pay in full for the twelve-week lesson period.
Q: Does the Gallagher School offer courses for class credit?
A: No. We do not associate with any school system or district that offers course credit for students' continuing education. Simply stated, we offer private, customized lessons for guitar and percussion.
Q: How can I pay for my lesson tuition?
A: We accept cash, check, or credit/debit for tuition payment. Email invoices remind students about paying tuition each term/lesson period.
Q: Can you help me to understand the tuition payment procedure?
A: Sure. We collect tuition at the beginning of each new term within a twelve-week participation period. Please view our ENROLLMENT & POLICY.
